On Tuesday, March 28th, KMBC Channel 9 did a special report on the stadium tax hike. As I was watching this, I heard someone say that it would actually turn out to be closer to $1.2 Billion over the twenty-five year period. My ears perked up and I looked into it a little more. I went to their site and looked at the corresponding article and sure enough, that is exactly what I thought I heard. $1.2 Billion for question 1. This does not even include the rolling roof. The quote from the article goes like this. "Campaign boosters concede they will have to pay off the interest to finance that $425 million. That interest is another $780 million, the campaign says. So the the total cost to the county over 25 years is $1.2 billion." Well, they sure left this detail out didn't they. These people are dishonest and are looking out for themselves. Come on, they politicians, what did you expect?
